Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One, is a human assimilated by Borg as a young girl. Once Captain Janeway severed her connection to the Collective against Seven's will, she was forced to stay on Voyager and adapt to human society. She was raised by the Borg, she was never an individual and has no idea how to relate to other people. Even though she has intelligence and wisdom from the species she assimilated while she was Borg, she's very childlike emotionally. Her real name was Annika Hanson and she was on the U.S.S. Raven, a deep-space vessel that was lost on a research mission when she was assimilated.
