Neelix was a junk trader who entered Kazon space just before Voyager
arrived. He is a whimsical man, a jack-of-all-trades, he has a premenition
of knowing what people want before they do. Neelix is a Talaxian from the
planet Talax in the Delta Quadrent. He came aboard Voyager to help them
find some missing crew, held by the Ocampa, in exchange for some water.
In the process he helped rescue is lover, Kes. (Whom which he broke up
with in the middle of the third season) They stayed
on board Voyager and Neelix now serves as cook, guide, and self-appointed
Morale officer.
